WE’RE ALMOST THERE — ONE FINAL UPDATE

When I last wrote, we were nearly 7,000 signatures short.

Today, Every Hospice Matters is right on the brink of 100,000 signatures, and the petition will be taken to Downing Street on 20 October at 3pm.

But behind those numbers are real people.

This week, one family who had supported the campaign lost their loved one on a hospital ward while they had been hoping for hospice care. Their experience is a painful reminder of why access to properly funded hospice and end-of-life care matters.

That is why this campaign is asking government to address the immediate funding pressures facing hospices and put their funding on a sustainable footing.

I’m not asking you to support this because you signed another petition of mine. I’m asking you simply to read it and decide for yourself.
