WE PASSED 80,000 SIGNATURES! And about our next chapter
Hello everyone!
First of all, let’s celebrate an absolutely terrific milestone together - we have officially passed 80,000 signatures!
Thank you all so much for your incredible energy, your shares and your dedication. Together, we have built a massive wave that has already caught the attention of major media and proved to policymakers in Brussels that micro enterprises, artists and independent creators across Europe have a powerful voice that cannot be ignored.
Today, I am writing to share a personal update with you. Due to personal and health reasons, I have made the decision to step back from the management of this petition. My focus now needs to be fully on my recovery and personal well-being, and I kindly ask for your understanding and respect for my privacy during this time.
However, our momentum is not stopping here! I am handing this over to our network of passionate national coordinators who are ready to keep pushing this fight forward into the peak political season this autumn.
The movement itself is officially transitioning into EuMEA - Micro Enterprises Alliance, and the team will keep you updated on all the upcoming updates and steps. Please, go and give them a follow on Instagram @eu.mea.hq
One last favor to support the cause:
Before I leave, I want to ask you for one last favor to really shake things up. Please take 5 minutes today to look up any local e-commerce associations, craft guilds or sole trader organisations in your home country.
Write them an e-mail, demand their attention and urge them that they MUST start doing something about this packaging law immediately. These established organisations have the power, professional lawyers and financial funding that independent creators simply don't have. Force them to use their leverage to protect our local markets! And if they want to collaborate, you can let them know that EuMEA is here and ready to connect!
It has been an absolute honor to start this journey with you. Thank you for your trust, your energy and for standing with me from the very beginning. Please keep signing, sharing and supporting the cause. The fight continues and I will be cheering from the sidelines every step of the way!
