STOP deporting LGBTQ

A LGBTQ* friend who identifies as lesbian, and for safety reasons is protecting her identity at present, received confirmation from Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA) that she WILL BE deported by February 26th, 2018, if YOU DO NOT act now.
While being questioned by the IRB, the adjudicator violated many IRB LGBTQ* guidelines by asking invasive questions to force her to prove that she is a lesbian.
Immediate repercussions of the CBSA's decision, means she will be uprooted from her newfound family and community in Canada. In addition, she will face extreme hatred from her family and community in Nigeria. If the Canadian government chooses not to intervene, she faces possible IMPRISONMENT and DEATH if deported.
The issue was raised with Prime Minister Trudeau during his recent town hall meeting in Winnipeg, January 31st. This issue was promised in front of media witnesses to be reviewed by the Office of the Minister of Immigration.
To address this critical issue, I ask that Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, and the Minister of Immigration, Ahmed D. Hussen, take the following measures:
- STOP the deportation of an innocent woman, who if deported, is likely to face hatred, imprisonment, or DEATH.
- Place PRESSURE on the CBSA to reverse their decision to deport by February 26th, 2018.
- Allow for provisionally granted refugee status; to seek safety and asylum in Canada
LGBTQ* are subjected to oppression every day. If YOU do not act by signing this petition, an innocent woman may lose her life.
PLEASE tell Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, and Immigration Minister, Ahmed D. Hussen, to STOP the deportation of LGBTQ* individuals by signing this petition.
