Just a brief update today:

UNSW is going ahead with the course Generative AI for Artists, which started this trimester. I am immensely disappointed in this outcome and feel that the university did not take our concerns seriously.

As a result, I've created an Instagram page (@studentsxai) and a Facebook group (Students Against AI). Follow along if you want to keep up or be involved in action against generative AI - you don't have to be a student to do so! This isn't going to be UNSW or even university-specific. Please also share with anyone who might be interested. We are hoping to take some action in the near future!

I hope this increased level of action will spur companies and institutions to re-examine their relationship with generative AI.
