Shuga's has been informed about the cultural appropriation being displayed at their establishment and thus far has refused to remove the teepee. Shuga's is making a conscious decision to ignore Indigenous voices of the community.

Teepees are structurally beautiful and can understand the attraction to such elegance. However, this structure is not meant for #crazybarsexynight type environments. This structure represents a particular Indigenous community (not related to this area), survival, spiritual safety and honoring the ancestors before us.

Shuga's is a NON-INDIGENOUS OWNED/OPERATED BUSINESS. This is not #cospringsculture!
