Natlan Drip Marketing

Today Genshin Impact posted the drip marketing (official art and story teasers) for the new characters. It is clearer now more than ever that these characters have been whitewashed. This is disrespectful to the indigenous cultures they are heavily inspired by, adding to the existing harmful erasure they experience in media.

Our Progress

As of 7:46 pm UTC+8, 15th July 2024, in all influential websites in China, including TikTok China, Tieba, Zhihu and Weibo, HoYoverse games have lost their usual top status on the hot lists.

The boycott is active in China! CN players who would normally post positively about the games are staying silent to help out.

Meanwhile on Twitter we are trending! We've come such a long way in just the first week thanks to all your help. Let's keep pushing forward!

Ways to help

The boycott team have now posted guidelines on how to help with 'Do's and Don'ts' to ensure things go smoothly.

There is now also a guide for review-bombing (leaving 1 star reviews that can be altered once HoYo listen).
