There are more Fume Events listed here, a couple are irrelevant as they were caused by a mobile phone and a passenger bag but generally they were all ‘classic’ Fume Events causing contamination to the air conditioning.  These events could have been prevented if it was law to have filters and sensors fitted to all bleed air aircraft. Airlines, Airline Regulators and Governments believe it is acceptable for passengers and crew to breathe toxic chemicals onboard aircraft. Many airlines boast that the safety of their passengers and crew is paramount or that they would not operate an aircraft if it wasn’t safe to do so, in reality they continue to put the health of their passengers and crew at risk. They also seem to believe that the delays, diversions and disruption caused are acceptable - rather than implement a solution and they continue to deny that there is a problem.
