We are getting close: August 18, 2026 Moratorium Ordinance from Memphis City Council

On August 18, 2026, Memphis City Council members approved the first reading of a moratorium on data centers. We have two more readings of this ordinance before they make the decision. The next steps are to contact your city council representative and let them know that you support an indefinite moratorium on data centers in Memphis, including the ones already in operation and those in the future. I will post another update sharing the next city council meeting in which this ordinance will be heard. Please try to make it if you can!
