Yesterday, Secretary of Veterans Affairs Denis McDonough stated that the CBO’s deficit reduction options were “not a good idea” and said "We think it's a bad idea, and we're not going to do it. You have my commitment that we won't do it”. This is good news, however we must remain vocal about these matters. The VA has made a commitment to veterans, but Congress ultimately funds the VA. Congress must know that they cannot cut funding because WE WILL NOT ALLOW IT!
