Friends of Oak Brook Sports Core, Inc. is pleased to announce that it successfully defeated the Village's motion to dismiss its lawsuit against the proposed privatization of the Oak Brook Bath & Tennis clubhouse. At a hearing held June 10, 2026, the judge denied the Village's motion to dismiss 8 counts (meaning FOBSC will continue to prosecute those eight counts).
Discovery will proceed. Discovered facts may warrant future amendment to the FOBSC complaint.
The 25-year construction lease of the OBBT clubhouse affects all Oak Brook residents and is a detriment to the Village. The 25-year lease violates the covenants in the Deed. If we do not enforce the Deed now, the covenants may be deemed waived.
