Dear Supporters,

We have an important update regarding Case Z-5-2026 (Ernest Barrett Parkway and Old Horseshoe Bend Road).

After confirming with the Cobb County Zoning Division, we have learned that the Board of Commissioners hearing originally scheduled for tomorrow, February 17, has been officially CONTINUED to the March meeting.

The new hearing date is Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 9:00 AM.

Why the change? Cobb County staff updated the official agenda this past Thursday (Feb 12) to reflect that the case is being held. This often happens when a developer needs more time to address community opposition or when staff requires further analysis.

What this means for us:

DO NOT show up tomorrow: Please do not take time off work or head to the courthouse for tomorrow's meeting.
We have 30 more days: The Planning Commission has already recommended DENIAL for this project. This extra month gives us even more time to grow our petition, gather facts about the wetland impact, and make sure the Board of Commissioners hears us loud and clear.

Stay Alert: The developer may use this time to submit "revised" plans to try and bypass our concerns. We will be watching the portal closely and will update you the moment new documents are filed.
