Together, we can help Hawkins maintain the Community School culture we have worked so hard to develop and maintain. Originally imagined by teachers, the Hawkins design team believed that students did not have to leave their community or public education to find quality, nurturing educators in South LA.

We have robotics, decathlon, field trips to Washington, DC, HBCU College tours, Immigrants Know-Your-Rights and the only South LA high school with a cheer squad headed to nationals at the Anaheim Convention Center. 

We've only been a community school since 2021 and have not fully implemented our community school plan. We are supposed to be off-limits to colocation. 

Hawkins is a dedicated School for Advanced Studies and a Magnet, and we are growing.  We have no extra space.  Continue to share the link to this petition and gather more signatures.
