Updates!

First and foremost, a massive thank you to the 2 people who sponsored the petition and to everyone who already signed it. Please keep sharing it as the more traction we get on this, the best results we’re gonna get.

We already have some interesting things happening:

- The bus operator replied to us, apologies and promises to take action. We thanked them but reminded them that we were waiting for actual actions, not just promises.
The good news is that this company actually operates most of the buses on Chapman’s Peak Drive, even the one that doesn’t carry their brand on the paint.

- The Chapman’s Peak Drive operator reacted to our reporting and showed interest and intention to act on it. We thanked them too for their prompt reply and reminded them that we expect real actions and not just words.

- Finally, we opened a case with SAPS in Hout Bay for reckless and negligent driving. We now have a case number and intend to follow up on a regular basis.

One of the challenges seems to be that the road is a provincial road and we may need to escalate this with the Province authority. But some people have already offered to put us in touch with the right people if needed.
