Hi all

After years of waiting, the NYS DEC has finally released its proposed plan to clean up the NuHart toxic waste site in Greenpoint!

The proposed cleanup plan for this Superfund site is now out for a 60-day public comment period, and DEC is holding a meeting next Thursday, October 4th to share the proposed plan and get community input.

Come on out, learn more, and raise your voice!

This is the only public meeting the DEC is holding to get community input on the site.  Don't miss your chance!

In addition to the public meeting, the public can submit written comments on the proposed clean-up plan until November 19th (at NAG's and Councilmember Levin's urging, the DEC extended the comment period by a month).
