On Monday, the House of Lords will debate a new law that could cap political donations. It’s our best chance to stop billionaires buying British politics.

As it stands, the law doesn’t go far enough. It limits what voters living abroad can give, yet nothing stops UK-based billionaires from donating huge sums. We need Lords to close the loophole with an amendment that caps all political donations.
Why email your MP if it’s the Lords debating? Because we elect MPs and they have real power here. Any changes the Lords make must go back to MPs for approval and Lords take notice when MPs raise concerns.
MPs listen to voters. The more emails they get before the debate, the harder this is to ignore.
