KY3 posted a great article for Missouri Veterans battling mental health issues. Below is the KY3 article and news report regarding Veteran Mental Health in Missouri. As I wrote above, Missouri continues to have one of the highest suicidal rates. Hopefully, for Veterans like myself, we’ll have more advanced resources to help (significantly) reduce these numbers. Currently, my doctor is out of Texas via video chat through my phone. Unfortunately, I was using my state VA and had a terrible experience. Missouri’s House passed “HB 1495 to Bolster Veteran Mental Health Support” earlier this year. Missouri Senate released modified provisions under “SB 912 Modifies provisions relating to military affairs” this past July. Please see below contacts for the Veteran Crisis numbers.
