It was reported widely in the press that more than 2000 trees have been cut over the past 2 years in the alignment of the Bangalore Surrounding Roads project of the KRDCL.
Now when questioned in the Karnataka High Court, suddenly, the KRDCL passes the buck, says it has nothing to do with it!
So, is it a FREE FOR ALL, in Karnataka? Nobody is responsible for our trees? Is there no Governance at all here?
Should the KRDCL MD, in addition to being tried for felling trees illegally, be also tried for perjury?
