PSA:
NEXT TUESDAY (7/25/23) at 1:30pm is the one time per month where King County Council allows open comments during their King County Council Meetings. Open comments are only allowed during the King County Council meeting on the 4th Tuesday of every month.
We want to show them there are a lot of concerned constituents that don't want the loud and deadly industrial BESS located next to Mattson Middle School and they need to put the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) on their meeting agenda very soon.
During the last King County Council open comment period, we had 11 people call in/join via ZOOM meetings and speak- we need more people to speak...
Please please join the meeting and share your concerns with the King County Council next Tuesday!
See log-in and call in info in the "EVENT" page!
And, if you can't make it, please email the King County Clerk before 10am the morning of the meeting: clerk@kingcounty.gov
To learn why this is not the right location for a dangerous industrial BESS please visit or join our FB group: Stop the proposed Covington Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)
THEY ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT THE INDUSTRIAL COVINGTON BATTERY ENERGY STORAGE FACILITY- THIS IS JUST A REGULAR KING COUNTY COUNCIL MEETING, but we can all make comments or write in our comments to get this issue in front of them.
HOW TO PROVIDE PUBLIC COMMENT: The Council values community input and looks forward to hearing from you.
There are three ways to provide public testimony:
1. In person: You may attend the meeting in person in Council Chambers.
2. In writing: You may testify by submitting a COMMENT email.
