Dear Friends

The good news is that the federal Justice Minister, Arif Virani has hinted that he is open to amending the criminal code to make auto theft a serious crime.  The bad news is that the criminal code should have been amended long ago.  This is no time for hints and slow decision making.  It is time for the federal government to change the criminal code now.  No more excuses, no more thinking about it.

Let's keep the pressure up on the federal government.  My goal is to collect 7500 signatures and present the petition to Minister Virani.  We are already at 4000 signatures.  Please forward this petition to your friends and family.

As a Mississauga City Councillor where auto theft is hitting hard, I will continue to keep the pressure on the federal government.
