I went to the HB1156 bull summary, and saw that Representative Barker is now a co-sponser. The seriously messed up part about this? I sent Sonia Barker, and about a hundred other representatives, an email about this bill being cruel and unnecessary to our transgender students the day before the amendment. 

This means that I unintentionally helped gather support for this ridiculous bill. This also shows what kind of person Sonia Barker is, just another hateful bigot, they are so bad in this state. I feel sorry for anyone living here that is transgender or has transgender children. 

It's even worse that they are attacking transgender youth specifically.

A lot of us don't have the option to move somewhere more open-minded and will continue suffering for it. 

I will keep trying, and if this fails, I'll try again on the next anti-transgender bill, and the next one, and the next until someone in the government starts paying attention to the rampant hate in this backwards state.
