Farm near BONNIEVALE,
Western  Cape

An elderly couple (64 and 51 year) were sleepling in their  bedroom when four(4) African males, wearing balaklavas, approached them and started assaulting them. They demanded cash, jewellery and firearms. Suspects tied the victims hands and feet with tape and also covered the wife's mouth with the tape. They threatened the couple with fire arms not to contact anyone otherwise they will shoot them. The couple does not own any firearms. 
Suspects moved to an outside room where the mother, 74 years old, was sleeping. She was also assaulted and her hand tied.   The suspects demanded access to a safe. The lady told them that she is unaware of a safe. 
Zimbabwean laborers  staying near the farm house were approached and tied. 
Suspects fled with the owner's white Audi Q7. They robbed the following items:  All jewellery pieces, sunglasses, one (1)HP laptop, one(1) Kruger rand, cash to the value of R4800.  The Audi Q7 was later found abandoned. 

The elderly male sustained severe injuries as he was asaulted with a crowbar and he was taken to Worcester Medi clinic.
