Dear Petition Supporters,
Please see attached linked article and video clip published 2 days ago.
The writer nails it, "And while I’ll be the first to agree there’s nothing sexier than slipping on some lingerie and making a night of it, the argument doesn’t lie within the product or the women who choose to buy it, but in the style of advertising Honey Birdette insist on using which continues to shift women from being sexy and places them instead as little more than sexual objects."
The video on the other hand boggles my mind why the men on the panel feel the need to say that they are not wowsers or prudish before they say these ads are "full on". Stick these pictures in your tv studio and see whether you need to be prudish or wowsers to find them completely inappropriate.
It also beggars belief how impotent Westfield and other shopping center management are, especially those who laud themselves as "#MaleChampionofChange". How do you "manage" to allow an advertiser to be banned by Ad Standards repeatedly 12 times in one year??
The petition has had a spike in numbers recently, thanks to your campaigning and encouraging your networks to sign and share. Let's see whether we can push 100,000 signatures by Christmas.
Thank you for your continued support and determination to see this disrespect to our women and children stopped!
Best regards,
Kenneth
