Dear Supporter
I am contacting you to ask again for your support for a new campaign, calling on the BBC not to press ahead with plans to cut Black and Asian local radio programmes.
Throughout our campaigning against the injustice faced by the Windrush Generation and opposing detentions, mass deportations, racist immigration policies and laws and the so called 'hostile environment ', which continues to this day, we have had much needed support and coverage by BBC regional / local Black and Asian radio presenters and programmes, which was essential in raising awareness , telling the personal stories of those impacted and building our campaigns. I personally have been invited onto these programmes countless times.
The BBC is accountable to the public and the communities it serves as a public broadcaster.
Please can you sign and share our petition:
We have also produced a model letter for you to send your MP here.
Many thanks for your support.
Kind Regards
Zita
