Dear Supporter
Today is the United Nations (UN) World Day for Social Justice.
The UN says that;
Social justice is an underlying principle for peaceful and prosperous coexistence within and among nations. We uphold the principles of social justice when we promote gender equality or the rights of indigenous peoples and migrants. We advance social justice when we remove barriers that people face because of gender, age, race, ethnicity, religion, culture or disability.
We have called a Windrush National Day of Action on Saturday to mark this on Saturday 23rd of February with a range of different events, actions and meetings in different cities. We will use the day to organise & build for national action calling for Justice for the Windrush generation and their families unjustly targeted by the hostile environment.
The attached link provides flyers detailing some of the key events taking place which have been organised by various organisations & campaign groups which form BAME Lawyers 4 Justice who have called this day of action.
Please share the events & this update using the hashtags #WindrushDayofAction & #WindrushScandal.
Thanks for your support.
Regards
Zita
