Update: Nuffield Health reaches out

Hi everyone,
Following our petition efforts, Nuffield Health in Crawley has reached out and expressed interest in a meeting next week. This is a significant step forward in addressing limited adult access to swimming facilities in West Sussex.
My emails to Nuffield Health concerning after-school swim lessons impacting adult swim times and the vastly reduced space for everyone else affecting safety, exercise outcomes and enjoyment for all seem to have paid off. This meeting provides a great opportunity to directly discuss a solution that ensures fair access for all swimmers at their facility.
In addition, Swim England has expressed support for our petition! They “encourage broad pool programming options to accommodate the many different communities who wish to benefit from being in the water”. Their backing strengthens our position and broadens the impact of our campaign.
What this means for the petition:
- While this is a positive development for Nuffield Health specifically, our fight for fair access across all public and private pools in West Sussex continues.
- We need to stay united and keep the pressure on the public sector.
What you can do:
- Continue to share the petition with your friends, family, and fellow swimmers.
- Stay tuned for further updates on the Nuffield Health meeting and our ongoing efforts with the government departments.
Engage with your MP and highlight the issues are you are experiencing. This issue is unlikely to be a local one and a national campaign will demonstrate the depth and breadth of the problem.
Thank you again for your continued support!
Together, we can make a splash!
