Thank you so much for signing, sharing, tweeting this new petition. Three days on and we already have 2,000 signatures and counting!
Puppies, kittens, baby rabbits are currently advertised online as Christmas toys and this is not acceptable!
Despite their clear posting rule which states that no pet should be advertised as a Christmas gift, Pets4Homes currently have dozens of ads doing just the opposite. Puppies are described as Christmas babies, Christmas buddies, perfect Christmas gifts, ready for Christmas with some advertisers offering to deliver on Christmas eve, free of charge.
The ads show the animals with Christmas hats on, Christmas decorations around them and some even appear under the Christmas tree.
This irresponsible advertising will only result in pets being purchased on a whim as presents for children. When the festive season is over, the kids have moved on to something else and the reality of pet ownership kicks in, the animals will become a burden and many will end up in a rescue centre.
Pets4Homes have published a few articles over the years, actually discouraging people to buy pets for Christmas. Those articles are still available on their website. Here is one published in 2012.

Has it all gone out of the window?
Pets4Homes should put their words into action and at least enforce their their own policy!
A pet shouldn't just appear as a surprise under the Christmas tree!
Please keep sharing. This needs to stop!
