Update

Dear Supporters,
First and foremost, thank you all so much for your incredible, ongoing support for our Change.org petition to stop a fatality at the Last Crumb junction (Westfield Road/Peppard Road). Every signature and share keeps the pressure on and ensures our community's safety remains on the agenda.
We want to give you an honest update on where things stand regarding our campaign for a safe pedestrian crossing. Following our last meeting in the summer, where we met Richard Davies (new Traffic Sub-Committee Chair), we have been actively trying to engage with Reading Borough Council. Unfortunately, we have not received a single response to our emails since July.
This silence is deeply disappointing. The council previously promised genuine community engagement on this issue, yet their lack of communication suggests otherwise.
We want to assure you all: this is not an issue we are letting go or forgetting. The dangers of this junction affect us all every single day, and we will continue pushing for the accountability and road safety measures we were promised.
Thank you for standing with us. We will keep you updated the moment we hear anything further.
