This morning, 1st October 2025, we had a useful meeting at The Last Crumb junction. This meeting was attended by a number of members of our campaign group; a representative from Queen Anne's school; Matt Rodda MP; Caversham Ward RBC Councillors Jacopo Lanzoni and Matt Yeo; and RBC Lead Councillor for Transport and Climate Strategy, John Ennis. 

RBC are actively pursuing funding options and we are, very much, hoping this will be successful and will appear in RBC final budget in February 2026 (the budget for the financal year starting April 2026). We will obviously keep you updated when we hear more back from RBC on this front. 

It has been stressed, and agreed, with RBC that there needs to be a public consultation regarding designs on the work once funding has been secured. Once again, we will share updates on this front when we have them.

There is a lot of background work going on and we are not letting up with our pressure on RBC to prevent a fatality at this junction!
