We need your support-
Oct 24 th Washington County will vote on Ordinance 882 Tile Flat Road expansion
even if they vote for a "study refinement area" They will still be able to put in a
road
This proposal will allow rural undesignated land that is actively being farmed to be studied for potential transportation needs. Farmland is a scarce resource that needs to be protected. The soil in this region is very valuable. Thousands of people flock to Scholls year-round to enjoy the farms. By continuing expansion into rural land that is actively farmed, you will erode the experience that people have by going and visiting rural areas. Additionally, farms take planning – you need to plant Christmas trees 5-8 years in advance of their harvest. By proposing to study roads across farmland, you create uncertainty and impacts to farmers trying to plan their crops.
