Hi Supporters,

It has been a month since I last posted an update, however I'm still fighting the good fight with regards to the proposed 7 Storey Community Housing Building on a daily basis.

With the Online and Paper Petitions, we now have over 260 signatures.  Which is an amazing effort engaging the community of Riverview and beyond. 

The last couple of weeks I have had the opportunity to meet the LNP Candidate for Bundamba, Carl Mutzelburg. 

Carl was lovely enough to allow me to chew his ear off about Stages 1 and 2 of the Riverview Development, which the Ipswich City Council failed my natural judice in 2018 with the none compliance of the of Properly Made Submission and now the proposed 7 Storey Community Housing Building/Tower (Stage 3) at the CNR Station Road and McEwan Street.

Carl was very concerned with the lack of community consultation from all current levels of Government and praised us for voicing our strong opinion to oppose Stage 3 of the development.

And guess what, Carl last night officially signed our Petition!

We are still at the mercy of the Developer submitting the Ministerial Infrastructure Designation (MID) and I'm checking the State Governments website on a daily basis of any new applications, however, this doesn't mean we should be complaisant and we need to keep sharing the Online Petition to get more community engagement.

Also, there is currently an internal investigation with the Ipswich City Council with regards to the none compliance of the of Properly Made Submission back in 2018 and I look forward to hearing the outcome of this investigation.
