Thanks for supporting our petition to get Stockport Council to reveal the deal with Steve Pilling for The Produce Hall. The support we have received over the last 48 hours has been really overwhelming and we wanted to share a quick update, now that we're close to reaching 2,000 signatures. In an interview on BBC Introducing last night, Blossoms talked about their passion for Stockport, including Seven Miles Out and Foodie Friday. You can listen to the whole interview here: https://bit.ly/2HE3YMz When asked what Stockport needed more of, lead singer Tom Ogden replied "a live music venue" and drummer Joe Donovan added "we need somewhere like Seven Miles Out to stay". When the presenter replied that "it shouldn't be down to you guys though", the band replied "it should be up to the council though, who have got the money but are putting it in the wrong places". Blossoms bass player, Charlie Salt, also added that "the council should focus less time on giving people parking fines and spend more time concentrating on the fine young people of Stockport." Listen to the whole interview to hear the band talk about how they'll be serving ice cream at Foodie Friday this month, what their favourite chippys are in Stockport, and the realisation that there is more than one type of scallop, after a recent trip to a posh restaurant. You can order the "COOL LIKE YOU ICE CREAM BUNDLE" to receive a cone code which will give you access to the Blossoms ice-cream van at Foodie Friday here: https://bit.ly/2JgJBlI Pre-order the bundle now and come and get served by Cone Rose and the rest of the band at Foodie Friday at Stockport Market this week! If you want to see the band perform live in Stockport, make sure you book your tickets for their matinee performance at The Plaza on Saturday 5th May. Book your tickets here: https://bit.ly/2HRfYYX
