A Step In The Right Direction

Broome County, New York is the newest place to officially adopt an Animal Abuser Registry. The registry will begin this year. The registry will include people who abandoned their pets on the street, extreme animal neglecters, people who engaged in animal fights and people who inflict cruel punishments on animals. The registry is a step in the right direction, but there is still a lot of work that needs to be done before a similar registry is adopted state-wide in Massachusetts.
