Read why in the note note from Jennifer Houlihan of Austin Music People, on behalf of HITW owner Will Tanner: "I spoke with Will at HITW yesterday. While he is humbled and grateful for the support, he asks that people stop circulating and signing the petition for historic designation; it only serves to tie the hands of the landlord, and it not really helping the club. Could you please take it down? He added that lines of communication with landlord are open and conversations are underway. The issue is still being worked on and several solutions are being considered. He said the best way for people to be helpful now is to come to the club, bring friends, and enjoy some great Austin music."
