Cambridge University - Refund Our Fees!

The Issue

We, the undersigned students of the University of Cambridge, support our lecturers in their decision to strike. The strikes, however, are likely to greatly impact our education and as a result we demand £300 of compensation for every student who loses contact time due to the upcoming strike action from the 22nd February to the 16th March 2018. We judge this to be a fair share of the £9,000 annual tuition fee that we already pay to this university that we will lose in the anticipated cancellation of lectures and supervisions.

The signatories call on the university to re-enter negotiations with the UCU to achieve a fair pension system for our lecturers. Upon refusing to do this we demand a proportional refund of tuition for the disruption caused to our education by the strikes, in solidarity with the striking staff.
