Good morning and thank you for your concern for Deaf children,
As you may know, we are parents of Jane, a Deaf student who was severely harmed by leadership while attending one of Ontario’s Schools for the Deaf.
We filed a lawsuit against the Ontario Deaf Schools:
A) because of the assaults against our daughter at school, which leadership covered up, resulting in Jane’s severe harm
B) because of the medical accommodations including Multiple Exceptionalities and Psychoeducational Assessments, which leadership delayed, denied, and interfered with, resulting in Jane’s severe harm
We know there are other victims. If you or someone you know are parents of a child who is or was denied Multiple Exceptionalities Classification, Psychoeducational Assessments, IPRC review, or any other medical accommodations, supports or care at one of the Ontario Provincial Schools for the Deaf then we have news for you.
Lawyer Kirsty Niglas-Collins, a partner at Unified LLP, has offered her services on contingency to victims of Human Rights violations at the Ontario School’s for the Deaf. That means you don’t have to pay any fee unless she helps you receive compensation. She is currently representing a number of parents who’s children have had their medical accommodations interfered with. These claims are expected to be filed within weeks.
Nothing has changed, we have criminal opinion that there is reasonable and probable grounds that multiple crimes have been committed resulting in the harm of our daughter, and we will not stop until those who harmed our daughter are brought to justice and equality for Deaf children is law.
If you haven’t already shared the Petition to Minister Lecce for Deaf Equality, please do so and be sure to encourage comments regarding the ongoing inequality in Deaf Schools that has continued even after 2 class action lawsuits, our lawsuit, and multiple pending Human Right’s claims.
