* FINAL = MINI-HOLLAND UPDATE * This is the final update I shall be giving unless its ward specific. Firstly a reminder that we was NEVER against Mini-Holland, but against the way it’s been done. The original purpose was to improve road safety for cyclist however had been hijacked into blocking roads and gaining capital and so on. 1. PETITION: We had a petition of 3000 Against Mini-Holland and there was a 600 For Mini-Holland. We handed the petition in to more than one source, digital and printed. The council have not taken this in account. They have said the majority of residents are for it. We asked to see this. We have had no reply. 2. DISABILITY: The council said they will let Google maps know where the mobility bound can drive up to and that their parking will have to be further. 3. ELDERLY: The council said they will let Google maps know where the elderly, carers etc can drive up to. 4. BUSINESS: We provided individual signed evidence that the majority of businesses are against Mini-Holland. Council docked information and said the vast majority are for it. We asked to see this. We have had no reply. 5. POLLUTION: We asked the council why they haven’t done a pollution assessment of where the pollution is being moved too. They replied “No comment”. 6. CONGESTION: We asked the council why they haven’t done a congestion assessment of where the pollution is being moved too. They replied “No comment”. 7. ROAD BLOCKS: Majority have asked for Mini-Holland without road blocks. Council has refused. 8. £30 MILLION: This money is in the account of LBWF, they are now deciding who gets the CONTRACTS 9. THE MOST HELPFUL COUNCILORS WHO LISTENED TO EVERYONE: (This does NOT mean they are for or against, just means they help both parties allot) - Cllr Johar Khan (Mark House - Labour) < Best in communication - Cllr Asim Mahmood (Mark House - Labour) < Best in communication with WRN - Cllr Saima Mahmud (Hoe St – Labour) < Attends many meetings and communicates - Cllr S K A Highfield (Cathall - Labour) < Worked hard for the mobility bound - Cllr Raja Anwar (High Street – Labour) 10. WORSE LOCAL COUNCIL0RS: - Cllr Clyde Loakes (Many Cllr fears him, he’s been nick named “Hitler”, rude and aggressive, not willing to listen – Leytonstone Ward) - Cllr Mark Rusling (Very rude, plays with mobile phone in meetings, ex-Tory – Hoe St Ward) - Cllr Ahsan Khan (Has one agenda – Hoe St Ward) 11. HEAD COUNCILOR: - Chris Robbins (Very rude in emails, not willing to listen – Grove Green Ward) 12. LOCAL MP: No help from Stella Creasy. She says it’s a local council issue not parliamentary issue. She has got involved in local council issues before, so double standards. So the 3000 who signed the petition and anyone affected by MH, remember this in voting time. 13. VERY VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT: The Mini-Holland plan will hit the whole of Waltham forest. The whole of Walthamstow will ONLY have the following roads too access; Hoe Street, Forest Road, Markhouse Road, Lea Bridge Rd and Billet Road. SO basically you have to get on these roads to access anywhere. i.e. you will no longer be able to take Queens Rd, Selborne Rd etc. Traffic on these roads will quadruple. Thats was the update, any news we shall let you know .
