I've just received an email encouraging all interested parties to send an email to their deputies and constables in relation to an amendment being brought by Deputy John Le Fondre, which will be debated tomorrow. This amendment is to means test all children in both the private and states sector, rather than only those in the private sector. Please do email today if you can as this is due to be debated tomorrow. "Dear States member As a tax payer and parishioner, I ask, that in the best interest of children and their families , you vote in favour of Deputy John Le Fondre's amendment to means test ALL parents including those in nursery classes. The present proposal intends to means test only the private sector parents which is unfair and discriminatory. It is only fair and equitable that parents are treated the same when accessing pre school education and the Nursery Education Fund."
