Jefferson Finis Davis was an American politician who served as the president of the Confederate States from 1861 to 1865. Confederates fought the war to protect a Southern society of which slavery was an integral part. Slavey was abolished in 1865, it is now 2020 and we are idolizing the memories of confederate soldiers throughout Virginia. 

Why should the people in this state constantly be reminded of the people who fought to keep slavery in states such as ours. There was a promise to change the name in 2019, yet there has been no action. Sign this petition to see action for Jefferson Davis Highway's to be changed.
