Fellow Maine residents, We've all seen the news reports, photos on FB, local broadcast news and may have experienced it first hand: snow and ice bring blown off the roof of a car and causing significant damage to a vehicle whole driving. A bill was introduced back in 2011 to create a similar law to NH's "Jessica's Law. For those not familiar with Jessica Smith, she was killed in a head-on collision in 1999 that was caused when snow and ice blew off the roof of one truck, smashed the windshield of a truck behind the first truck and causing that truck to cross the center line. The only law we have on the books is to clear your front and rear windshield. It's time for you, State of Maine to pass our own  version of Jessica's Law.
