“I just know I’ll be free soon and it’s because of ALL of you. I wish I could have ran with each of you yesterday. Thank you for believing in me and helping us stop the injustice of arresting and putting victims of trafficking in jail. I’m just one survivor but I’m here and I am stronger with all of you standing with me. Together, we can help survivors truly be free. I’m sending you all my love and I’ll see you all real soon.” — Tiffany Simpson
Dear Allies, Survivors and Friends:
Thank you for believing in Tiffany. We are so grateful for each of you for sharing our belief that survivors should not be incarcerated. The #TheFreeTiffany 5K was a huge success! We had couples, dogs, bunnies, kids, grandparents and pretty much all walks of life joining to advocate to free Tiffany and other incarcerated survivors, like Jessica and Jordan.
Together with our partner, Dressember, we are raising a minimum of $25,000 to support incarcerated survivors. Your support helps us provide therapy and legal support to survivors as well as care packages with books, journals, wellness needs and even stamps to help survivors stay in touch with those they love.
Tiffany has a message for all of you, and we hope that you will feel her love and jump one more step with joy!
From Tiffany:
I can't explain how excited and grateful I am to have so many people on my support team. Throughout the time I was being trafficked and abused there was only one thought that would play in my mind " Who can I turn to for help?" There was no one for me really.
Being so young and trapped in that hell made me feel like there was no future for me or my unborn son.
It was very overwhelming and I felt all alone with nowhere to turn. Now, I have all of you. Since having such an amazing team behind me along with having so many people on my side to advocate for my freedom I have realized there are people out there I can trust and count on to help me in the time of need.
Now, I am able to do so much to help others who need my voice for them, like Jessica and Jordan. It has really been a blessing and I am dedicated to making a difference in the world!
Thank you so much, each person that came and walked to support me and many other victims, every one of you are truly amazing and very special. Just because the walk is over don't let it stop you from advocating for the victims of human trafficking who need us all. If this is your first time advocating for survivors, let this be your first walk alongside us.
I know that 2021 is my year to regain my life and freedom.
I will see all of you on the other side of these walls and it will only be the beginning of my journey! Thank you again to everyone and to my sisters at Karana Rising and Dressember. I feel your love here behind these walls! With love, Tiffany Simpson
