Tasmania is best placed to grow cannabis for medicinal purposes due to our natural security and climate as demonstrated by the poppy industry.

We request the Government to make the necessary legislative and regulatory changes to permit a clinical trial of medicinal cannabis production, processing and administration in Tasmania, and if the results of the trial are deemed safe call upon the Tasmanian Government to move to legalise the production, processing and administration of medicinal cannabis, under supervision of medical practitioners, in the interest of our economy and the health and well being of Tasmanians.
