I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the senseless hate experienced in San Diego. And why it's even more important to hold the California Victims Compensation Board. Imagine for a minute, to the best of your abilities, that you are in a place of worship. Imagine shots fired all around you, you might have even have friends and/or family killed. Imagine now you have incurred significant medical expenses. Imagine you incurred significant income loss after that. And who wouldn't be able to work after that?

...now imagine a state agency that's supposed to be helping is instead acting like an incompetent, malicious insurance company. Imagine this agency is intentionally delaying things unreasonably and without justification. Imagine intentionally not being given a clear, transparent process or current status within the process. Imagine an agency intentionally refusing to answer what your appeal rights are. Imagine dealing with staff that really don't understand their job on a basic level. Imagine staff that can't even do 5th grade mathematics. Imagine staff actively searching for any possible technicality to deprive of you a lifeline. Imagine they even go beyond looking to intentionally making mistakes or errors of law to achieve that purpose. This is the fate of the San Diego victims when they apply to Cal VCB benefits....unless we change that. I'm trying to prevent this future from coming to pass. Can you help them?

Keep signing -- we only have 78 signatures before we reach 1,000 signatures. And don't forget to contact all your potential candidates at local, state, and federal levels -- ask them if elected, will they support a formal investigation into Cal VCB's systemic illegal conduct?
