Hello,
This is Cameron Ruble, just wanting to thank everyone who has signed and supported this petition for a new and improved skatepark. I wanted to let you all know that the city has settled on a location site for this project to be constructed, which will be located on the newly purchased land at Wayne Hansard Park. I am seeking fiscal sponsors and donations to help go towards the 50% of the construction cost. Parks and recreation agreed to pay the other half to get this project completed. I just want to thank everyone who’s supported and been with me throughout all of my efforts towards promoting and to soon provide our youth a safe place to do what they love to do, whether it’s skateboarding/ rollerblading/BMX/rollerskating/scooters . This park will provide our community and city as a whole the potential for many events and activities, as well as help our children have a chance to learn much faster and forge long lasting friendships and the possibility of them becoming professionals in the extreme sport industries mentioned above. The most important part of this project is the safety it will allow our children to practice their craft, by providing them with more space and better obstacles to learn on. If you would like to help me with seeing this project through please feel free to message me on social or by email. Thanks again to all who has supported and got us this far. We could not have done it without you. I have high hopes that this project will begin its planning phase in the near future once our fiscal sponsors approve to accelerate the development process of this project. If you know anyone who may be interested in donating or doing so please let me know. Morristown is growing just as skateboarding alone has, and it’s time we give our kids a place where all other extremes sports can grow with it. Thank you all for the support, encouragement, and attention that this sports project deserves. It can open up so many doors towards even becoming curriculums in school as it has in so many other parts of the world and it just keeps growing.
Thanks Again,
Cameron Ruble
