Start a nonstop-cabin PHL–COK service via Delhi or Mumbai
The Issue
Dear Air India Management,
I am writing to respectfully request that Air India consider starting a Philadelphia (PHL) to Cochin (COK) flight service to serve the large Indian community in the Philadelphia region and surrounding states.
There are approximately 50,000 Indian families living in and around Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, South Jersey, and the Baltimore area. A large number of these families travel regularly to Kerala, particularly to Cochin and nearby districts. We kindly request Air India to consider operating a Philadelphia–Cochin service through Delhi or Mumbai, while allowing passengers to remain on the same aircraft throughout the journey without changing aircraft in Delhi or Mumbai.
This would be a tremendous convenience for passengers, especially senior citizens, families with children, and passengers traveling with luggage. It would also make Air India a much more attractive choice for travelers from this region.
A Philadelphia–Cochin service would:
* Serve a large and established Indian community.
* Provide convenient access to Kerala.
* Benefit communities in Pennsylvania, Delaware, South Jersey, and Baltimore.
* Reduce the inconvenience of changing aircraft at another Indian airport.
* Encourage more passengers to choose Air India for travel to India.
* Provide Air India with an opportunity to develop a strong and loyal customer base in the Philadelphia market.
We believe there is significant potential demand for this service, particularly because many passengers currently have to travel to other U.S. airports to find convenient connections to Kerala.
We sincerely request Air India to study the feasibility of starting a Philadelphia–Cochin service, initially perhaps on a limited number of days per week, with the possibility of increasing frequency based on demand.
We would be very grateful if Air India could give serious consideration to this request. Such a service would be greatly appreciated by thousands of families and would strengthen the connection between the United States and Kerala.
