As of Friday morning, the 15th May 2026, the petition has surged in recent days to 1413 signatures, and I wish to thank all of you for supporting this! 

Please share this petition with friends and family to keep the momentum up, but if you can, please also email Cllr Glen Sanderson at Northumberland County Council, as well as your local MP (especially if your MP's are  is David Smith MP for North Northumberland, Ian Lavery MP for Blyth and Ashington, or Emma Foody MP for Cramlington and Killingworth) to state your support for the route, and please include a reference to the petition.
