For National Sweetest Day, help us make sure Starbucks’ menu satisfies ALL sweet tooths! Compassion Over Killing has just learned that the coffee giant plans to phase out its recently released plant-based macadamia oat cookie--despite hearing from tens of thousands of you asking for more vegan options. Help the coffee giant see the sizzling demand for plant-based food by showing it what kind of vegan cookie you’d like on the menu next: Just decorate our printout, share it on social media, and tag @Starbucks!
In March, Starbucks told Compassion Over Killing at its annual shareholder meeting that a US-wide vegan food line was on the horizon this year. And after dishing out a vegan cupcake in Miami, tasty breakfast treats, and plant-powered protein bowls in select cities, the chain finally put a vegan option on menus nationwide: a macadamia oat cookie.
But this fall, Starbucks told us that the cookie’s days were numbered due to slow sales--and there’s still no sign of a more robust vegan menu. Yet vegan food sales are soaring, with the dairy alternatives market projected to reach $34 billion by 2024 as more and more people choose compassionate cuisine.
Let’s make sure Starbucks sees that there are still millions seeking vegan treats in more enticing flavors like chocolate chip, peanut butter swirl, and mocha--and keeps a vegan cookie on its menu:
Design your ideal vegan cookie TODAY using our printout -- then upload a pic to social media and tag @Starbucks to ask for your dream cookie! Don’t forget to use the #VeganStarbucks hashtag (we’ll track it and share as many of your submissions as we can).
Thanks for helping us make vegan eating business as usual nationwide.
