Thousands of you have asked for plant-based options at Starbucks, and your impact is spreading! After introducing a vegan breakfast item in New York earlier this year, Starbucks has turned to Chicago, where its new Mercato lunch menu features a vegan cauliflower tabbouleh salad. And the chain’s trending Pink Drink--a Strawberry Açai Refresher with coconut milk--has taken up permanent residence on the menu!
But Starbucks still lacks a vegan main dish. While chains like Pret A Manger are already debuting veggie sandwiches, wraps, soups, and more, Starbucks is missing out on a huge customer base. However, the company has revealed that it is still “testing many items in [the vegan] space.”
Please continue to sign & share to our petition to show Starbucks how great the demand is for hearty vegan meals! If you’re in Chicago, stop in and enjoy the new plant-based salad. Don’t forget to tag @starbucks on Facebook and Twitter to encourage the chain to continue rolling out vegan options across the country!
