Dear Starbucks, I was deeply disturbed to recently learn that Planned Parenthood is part of your employee gift-matching program.  If any employee makes a donation to Planned Parenthood (ranging from $20-1,500), you will match that donation dollar for dollar. In light of everything that we know about Planned Parenthood (including the fact that they sell the body parts of aborted children--a criminal act--and performed 327,653 abortions from 2013-2014 alone, some of which were illegal partial-birth abortions), it grieves me to hear that you support that organization. As a past (and possibly future) customer, I petition that you cease this funding to Planned Parenthood.  They are a criminal organization that ascribes no value to human life.  According to your website, your mission is "to inspire and nurture the human spirit – one person, one cup and one neighborhood at a time."  I ask that you start with valuing the human spirits that are not given a chance at life outside of the womb.  I ask that you stop funding an organization that does not have this value for the human spirit that you claim to hold. I love peppermint mochas just as much as anyone else.  But I will not purchase another item from your company until you cease the funding of Planned Parenthood.  Every person that signs this petition is making the same pledge.  We hope that you will value us as patrons and agree to our request.  We expect to hear from you soon.  Thank you!
