The National Institute of Health estimated that 65% of adults are lactose intolerant. Whether by choice or inability to process lactose, many Starbucks consumers opt for a dairy-free alternative in their drinks, replacing dairy milk with soy, almond, or coconut milk.

Finding so many alternatives to dairy at Starbucks is fantastic as a consumer, but I always end my orders with "and hold the whip." In 2019, with many brands such as So Delicious​, Soyatoo, and even Reddi-Wip producing dairy-free whipped cream products, we are asking Starbucks to take it a step further. 

It's time to stop "holding the whip" and instead asking for a coconut, soy, or even almond milk alternative. They exist, and if Starbucks recognizes this and brings it to their menu, so many of us would feel the support from this company that no other provides.

Many coffee shops now offer dairy-free milk substitutes, but we're asking Starbucks to uphold it's image as a trail-blazer by being the first to offer dairy-free whipped cream!
