I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Years. I fear this will be the last "good" holiday season for me and my husband if this goes into effect. I am starting to here rumors and whispers about our petition around work, but I want to take it to the next level. For this to work, we need to generate as much buzz at Staples Corporate that we can. The best way I can think of is talking to the management staff directly. Obviously I can't do this as they will fire me. What I ask is this: Next time you go into a Staples, ask to speak to the manager on duty. Tell him or her that you have signed a petition asking for the end of the part time hourly policy, and to please tell their District Manager. Please be nice, as the managers don't like this policy either! I've discussed it with my General Manager, and if he receives enough requests, he too will bring it up with the District Manager.
